Question: What is included in the 20 point inspection?
Answer: Inspecting the safety cover, measuring the safety cover as a template, drafting the 20 point inspection, and overhead pictures of safety cover in pre-repair state.
Question: When will I be charged an assessment fee?
Answer: You will only be charge for an assessment fee if the cover is being returned to the customer without being repaired or if you wish to have the template returned before a replacement cover is ordered.
Question: What happens if my cover has a hole that is greater than 4”?
Answer: If the safety cover has a hole that is 4” or greater in diameter or length, a replacement square is needed. A replacement square is cut from the new material and webbing is attached to the perimeter.
Question: I received notice that my cover is non-repairable, what does this mean?
Answer: Any cover that GLI can not repair to ASTM standards can be declare non-repairable. Typically non-repairable safety covers can be easily identifiable. Mesh Safety Covers where the weave is disintegrating or dry rotting and any solid safety cover where the vinyl coating is breaking down making scrim (threads) visible or brittle and dry rotting. Additionally, dry rotting of the thread on all the webbing is a sure sign that your cover can not be repaired.
